Woodland Manor

Woodland Manor is a country house wedding venue in Clapham, just outside Bedford, with landscaped gardens, several ceremony and reception spaces and onsite accommodation. It works well for both smaller weddings and larger celebrations, and having everything in one place makes the day much easier for couples and guests.

I’ve photographed a number of weddings there over the years, so I know the grounds well and how to make the most of them in different weather. The gardens, paths and quieter corners give us plenty of variety without taking the couple away from their guests for long, and the house itself offers a more formal backdrop when needed. The staff have always been helpful and attentive, which makes the whole day run much more smoothly.

For me, Woodland Manor’s biggest strength is that everything is close together. I can work quickly, adapt to the light and weather and still give couples a good variety of photographs without turning the wedding into a photoshoot.
