Shortmead Manor

Shortmead Manor is a private wedding venue just outside Biggleswade, set within around 24 acres of gardens, woodland and grounds, with a Georgian manor house at the centre. It offers a mix of elegant interiors, formal gardens, open lawns, woodland and a lake, plus several ceremony and reception spaces and onsite accommodation.

From a photography point of view, the variety is probably its biggest strength. You can move from period interiors to gardens and more relaxed outdoor spaces within minutes, and there are plenty of options if the weather changes.

It works especially well for couples who want a venue with a bit more freedom and space for guests to spread out. There is enough variety that even a short portrait session can produce a really good mix of photographs without taking the couple away from their wedding for long.
